Justin Trudeau has finally survived the risk of his political life in Canada, as he jumped into the snap elections prematurely just to gain a legislative majority.

As Trudeau is to stay as the Prime Minister of Canada, he wanted to run for elections two years before the actual election date because his legislative agenda was hindered by the coalition government.

Although he survived the reelection, he failed to gain the majority once again, putting his government back to square one.

Although Justin Trudeau wins Canada's snap elections, his envisioned majority did not come even with the premature elections. This has raised concerns in the Canadian political circle that the elections were nothing but a waste of resources.

The election was nothing less than a political gamble taken to outplay the opposition parties from the national political landscape.

Trudeau had the numbers before the elections to win the polls again.

But his inability to win the majority was already known to most of the political pundits, as the data showed that he could just fall short of winning the majority once again.

Nonetheless, now he has no other option other than taking the route of bipartisanship to enact the compromised legislation.

As a matter of fact, a party needs 170 seats to form a government in the country on its own. Although the final seat tally is expected to be disclosed in days to come, owing to the historic mail-in-balloting, however, Justin Trudeau’s Liberal party is expected to hold 158 seats.

The New Democratic Party (NDP) of Canada is going to be the possible kingmaker in the country’s legislature with some significant gains in the snap elections. The possible breakdown of the parliament will look something like this.

Liberals party has a chance to team up with NDP as the leader of NDP Jagmeet Singh has shown his resolve to work with Liberals in a hung parliament.

With its possible tally of 25 seats, NDP can turn the tides for the ruling liberals who can lure them for some important positions in the government.

The NDP leader has already reiterated his support for Justin Trudeau’s party and is willing to back the government in some important legislation.

The Canadian snap elections have also proven the opposition’s claims that the snap elections are Justin Trudeau’s bid to grab power and nothing but a waste of money.

Justin Trudeau was already exercising the Prime Ministership under almost the same number of legislative seats.

Both conservatives and liberals would try to become stronger in the upcoming elections of 2023.

The Canadian legislature has emerged the same once again at the expense of almost 600 million Canadian dollars, which were spent on the election.

The future of the new Conservative leader also remains uncertain, as he drifted away from some of the core conservative agendas.

This shift was seen as an attempt to attract liberal voters toward himself, but despite moving away from conservative agendas, the net gain is not something so encouraging.
